Product notes
Clay-limestone soils with pebbles on the surface. Continental Mediterranean climate, characterized by hot, dry summers and cool winters, favoring slow, balanced ripening of the grapes.
Production notes
The grapes are hand-picked early in the morning to arrive fresh at the winery. They first undergo a 96-hour cold maceration at 6 °C. The Tempranillo and Cariñena are aged in French oak barrels for 24 months, while the Grenache is aged for 24 months in 225-liter American oak barrels. The final blend is made from the best barrels, after which the wine undergoes an additional 36 months of bottle aging.
Tasting notes
A beautiful ruby-red color beginning to show garnet highlights. Elegant aromas of red currant, tobacco, and eucalyptus fill the nose. The finish is long and pleasant. Recommended with roasts, meats, and aged cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 15 to 17 °C. Uncork one hour before serving.
