Product notes

The best clay-limestone soils of Rioja Alavesa.

Production notes

Hand-harvested to keep the grapes whole. Strict grape selection. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 26 °C, and maceration does not exceed 12 days. Aged for 2 years in American oak barrels.

Tasting notes

Wine with a deep, intense cherry-red color, showing very little evolution. The bouquet reveals notes of licorice, cinnamon, and pepper. A complex concentration of ripe fruit, with subtle aromas from extended barrel aging. On the palate, it shows good structure, freshness, and very pleasant, round tannins, making it easy to drink. The long finish carries a balsamic touch. Recommended serving temperature: 16–18 °C. This wine pairs well with cured ham, mildly aged cheeses, spicy dishes, grilled meats, and roasts.
