About this winery
Passionate about its terroir, Merlot and great wines, the Trocard family has maintained an exceptional vineyard for 14 generations located in the heart of Libournais (Saint-Émilion, Pomerol). Concentrated on only a few hectares in the 18th century, the family vineyards experienced a real boost under the impetus of Jean Trocard who in 1945 gave free rein to his talents as a great winemaker. Product notes
This wine comes from an eleven-hectare family-owned estate located in the heart of the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation. Soil and terroir: Gravel. Average vine age: 30 years.
Production notes
Green harvesting. Hand-picked in mid-September. Sorting on a table. Alcoholic fermentation for three weeks. Malolactic fermentation in vat. Aged for fourteen months in barrels, 25% of which are new.
Tasting notes
Deep red color, limpid and brilliant. The nose is complex and indulgent, marked by a blend of ripe red and black fruits, with subtle woody and spicy notes. On the palate, it offers freshness and length, with smooth, well-integrated tannins. A true pleasure! Perfect pairing with red or white meats, game birds, and mild cheeses. Recommended serving temperature: between 16 and 18°C.
