Product notes
The grapes come from the Maipú region in Mendoza, Argentina, an area known for its mineral-rich alluvial soils and semi-arid climate. The high diurnal temperature variation allows the Chardonnay to ripen slowly, enhancing its freshness, balance, and aromatic intensity. Organic farming helps preserve the pure and natural expression of the terroir in this distinctive wine.
Production notes
El Zorrito Naranjo is a natural wine made from 100% Chardonnay grapes sourced from organic vineyards. The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo 45 days of skin maceration, which gives the wine its amber color and light tannic structure. Fermentation occurs naturally with native yeasts, with no added sulfites, and the wine is unfiltered, making it a vegan and low-intervention expression.
Tasting notes
El Zorrito Naranjo shows a deep golden-yellow color with orange hues, slightly hazy. On the nose, it offers floral aromas, tropical fruits (pineapple, mango), and notes of orange peel and gentle spices. The palate is vibrant, with a silky yet structured texture, and fine tannins from the extended skin contact. Best served between 10°C and 12°C (50°F–54°F). It pairs beautifully with rich dishes such as grilled sweetbreads, skirt steak (entraña), Argentinian empanadas, or spicy vegetarian cuisine.
