Product notes

Soil and terroir: Granitic and sandy. Average vine age: Between 30 and 80 years.

Production notes

Traditional Beaujolais vinification using semi-carbonic maceration with whole bunches. Aged for ten months in large oak casks (foudres). Racked in March, then transferred back to stainless steel tanks for blending one month prior to bottling.

Tasting notes

Wine with a deep purple color and violet highlights. The nose is expressive, featuring black fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant) with floral and lightly spicy notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied and round, with smooth tannins and a pleasant freshness on the finish. Serve between 14 and 16 °C. Pairs well with charcuterie, meat dishes in sauce (chicken, beef), or aged cheeses.
