Product notes

Mediterranean climate. Clay Loam and sandy loam over red clay.

Production notes

Manual and machine harvesting. Part of the wine is fermented in old traditional concrete fermenters with the cap held by top boards allowing a strong extraction of color and tannins, in particular Grenache. After fermentation, the wine is aged in seasoned French oak barrels and two to six year old French barrels.

Tasting notes

Bright and vibrant cherry red color. On the nose, a playful combination of chocolate, raspberry, cinnamon and pepper notes. In the background you see notes of star anise and orange peel. On the palate, medium to full bodied, fresh and lively with sufficient tannins. The acidity carries the wine to a clean, slightly mineral and long finish. Beautiful notes of fresh raspberries and cinnamon persist on the palate. Perfect pairing for duck and chocolate cake.
