Product notes

Thanks to its thicker trunk, this vine grows straighter. This makes pruning easier, but also makes this gamay mature two weeks later than normal.

Production notes

Harvest on October 5, by machine. No aging in wood. 9 to 12 months of aging in stainless steel vats.

Tasting notes

We find there the classic character of Gamay, with its aromas of cherry and the medium bodied body, but also an additional complexity which provokes a happy surprise. It also has very pleasant spice and smoke notes. It’s a safe bet for any good barbecue. No matter what’s on the grill, the Gamay "Droit" is a spectacular pairing. In winter, it will go well with a rich lasagna or a pork chop with a herb and mushroom sauce.
