About this winery
Clos Triguedina is the cradle of the Baldès family. It is a heritage loaded with stories of men. Product notes
The vines are all at least half a century old and are the best exposed on the estate. Third terrace, with clay-siliceous and chalky clay soil with the presence of iron, on gentle slopes.
Production notes
Manual harvest and sorting on the table. Total destemming. Fermentation for 20-25 days, sometimes longer. The final temperature reaches 30-32 ° C in order to preserve the authentic character of the wine. Each plot is vinified separately. The vintages that make up this great wine are selected after tasting. Hot run-off in barrels before maturing for 18 months in new oak barrels. Each barrel is tasted, and only the best wines are finally assembled.
Tasting notes
Intense nose of black fruits, prunes mixed with spicy notes. The palate is concentrated. The tannins are straight and velvety. Long and persistent finish. Patient evolution towards aromas of undergrowth while retaining a lot of freshness. This wine is tasted after a passage in a carafe and will be appreciated around culinary specialties of the South-West such as confit or duck breasts, beef ribs, etc.
