About this winery

At the start of the 20th century, Château Cormeil-Figeac was in a period of decline. In 1940, Château Cormeil-Figeac became the property of the Moreaud family. A reconstitution of the domain then begins, with new plantings, drainage works and a new cellar. Today, the fourth generation, made up of Coraline and Hector, builds on a know-how acquired over more than 70 years.

Product notes

Clay-limestone soil, swelling clays with smectites and iron dross.

Production notes

Mechanical harvest. Full aging for 12 months in new barrels.

Tasting notes

Very long and complex wine, elegant and smooth, intense and velvety. Compote of red fruits, cherry, blueberry and blackcurrant, very slightly minty. Well coated tannins, subtle oak thanks to very precise barrel aging.
