About this winery

El Coto de Rioja is organized as if it were twelve small wineries. Each one with the optimum conditions for its job, where each part of the process is handled independently. The vinification is carried out in small tanks that do not exceed 50,000 liters and all our red wines are aged in oak barrels, which are replaced annually. Production notes

Harvest: During the harvest, the grapes are kept below 10 ° C. Vinification: Always kept cold and in an atmosphere saturated with carbon dioxide to avoid any oxidation, the grapes are pressed gently in order to keep only the first press. The must then ferments at very low temperature (between 14 and 18 ° C) so that the wine inherits the freshness and original fruitiness of the viura. The wine is bottled immediately, without malolactic fermentation or aging.

Tasting notes

Tasting notes: Aromas of white flesh fruits such as peach, apple and a little banana. Dry and fresh on the palate, it invites another sip. Long fruity finish with notes of melon. Wine and food pairing: Aperitif, seafood, crustaceans, salmon with honey and rabbit with mustard.
