About this winery

The history of the Cuvelier family begins in 1804, when Henri Cuvelier founded the H. Cuvelier et Fils trade in northern France. The success is immediate. In the early 1900s, Paul Cuvelier and his brother Albert decided to acquire several Bordeaux estates. Château Le Crock is the first property of the family, followed by Château Léoville Poyferré in 1920, accompanied by Château Moulin Riche.

Product notes

The Château Le Crock vineyard is located in Saint-Estèphe, north of the left bank, between the Crus Classés Château Montrose and Château Cos d´Estournel. Recognized in 1992 as a Cru Bourgeois, and raised to the rank of Cru Bourgeois Supérieur in 2003, Château Le Crock today confirms this level of quality, vintage after vintage.

Production notes

The bunches are picked by hand in crates and sorted in the vineyard to ensure the quality of the harvest. Vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. Gluing with egg white. L Aging in barrels, one third renewed for 12 to 18 months.

Tasting notes

Very fresh and complex nose, opening with touches of black fruits and spices. The mouth is full and tasty with very velvety tannins on a nice fruit. Intense purple color. Pairings of prime rib, game and hard sheep's cheese. Serve between 16 and 18 ° C.
