About this winery

Powers Winery, was founded by Bill Powers. Bill was drawn from his boyhood in​ Oklahoma to the region’s spectacular farm country in the 1950’s, and after years of farming multiple crops, he planted our estate, Badger Mountain Vineyard, in 1982. Production notes

Fermentation completed in upright stainless steel fermenter. 100% malolactic fermentation completed in 59 gallon neutral French oak barrels. - Aged 22 months in 8% New French oak, 50% in 2nd-year French oak, and 42% neutral French oak barrels.

Tasting notes

On the nose, rich notes of blackberry, blueberry, leather and cedar. On the palate, lush layers of blueberry, black licorice, herbs and lingering spice. Finishing with smooth, round tannins that create a beautiful mouthfeel.
