About this winery
Thomas Reynolds, an English seaman and merchant, arrived in Portugal in 1820, attracted by the potential of the wine trade. He settled in the northern town of Porto with his two sons, Thomas and Robert, and from there they supplied their London store with a variety of products from the Iberian Peninsula. In 1838, they became involved in the cork industry and set up a factory for the manufacture of cork stoppers in Alburquerque (Spain), where they lived for eleven years. It was a profitable...

Product notes
Terroir: Granitic soils and related rocks, poor in organic matter. The vineyard is located at the top of Monte Figueira de Cima, at an altitude of 400m. With climatic influence of the Serra de São Mamede, it has excellent conditions of drainage and sun exposure.
Production notes
Certified integrated production. Several selective sizes to reduce the harvest. Night harvest. Each variety is harvested separately. Pressing of the grapes and decanting of the musts. Long fermentation in stainless steel vats, cold and with yeasts. Aging on lees, filtering and assembly before bottling. Aging in bottle before sale. All the process carried out at the domain.
Tasting notes
Medium Lemon colour, on the nose shows lemony and tangerine peel notes, characteristic from the Antão Vaz. On the palate it shows a refreshing combination of citrus fruits, lemon, tangerine, with some candid fruit on the after taste brought by the skin contact during fermentation.
