Schröder Schÿler et Cie
Charmes de Kirwan, Margaux AOC
2016
About this winery
Founded almost 280 years ago, SCHRÖDER & SCHŸLER is one of the oldest family houses specializing in wine Négoce in Bordeaux. It is Yann Schÿler (8th generation of the family) who is at the head of the House. The Schÿler family also owns Château Kirwan. Like the Négoce house, this prestigious chateau is one of the rare large family properties in this area.

Tasting notes
This wine displays a beautiful garnet color and an expressive nose dominated by fruit, intense on this vintage. Notes of cherry, blackcurrant, pepper and cinnamon as well as a smoky touch. The attack on the palate is round but fresh, supported by good acidity. The notes of aging complete the bouquet. Fine tannins develop for more persistence. A remarkable vintage for its fruit, complexity and freshness. Goes wonderfully with red meats (beef and duck) or filet mignon with prunes and pan-fried mushrooms.
