Product notes

Plant density 4800 - 6600 plants per hectare; Yield 80 quintals of grapes per hectare; Wine yield 70% equivalent to 56 hi per hectare; Average age of vines 18 years.

Production notes

Harvests at the end of September for the Merlot and at the beginning of October for the Sangiovese. Destemming of the grapes and alcoholic fermentation. Maceration in conical barrels at controlled temperature, followed by racking. Aging 12 months partly in stainless steel vats and the other part in barrels (3-4 years), then aging for 6 months in vats.

Tasting notes

A sufficiently intense and persistent aroma with notes of berries compatible with the fruity properties of this wine. The taste is pleasant, but decisive and full-bodied. The tannins are prominent but well balanced.
