About this winery
The origin of the estate dates back to 1638. At the time, Léoville was the largest Médoc property, divided over time and generations. Léoville Poyferré will initiate the legend of this great wine in 1840 and will be consecrated fifteen years later Second Grand Cru Classé. Didier Cuvelier will preside over the destinies of this jewel in 1979.

Sols de graves et sous-sol argileux.
Production notes
Manual harvest. Double sorting of the harvest, in the vineyard and optical sorting in the cellar. Vinification in thermoregulated stainless steel vats for 1 month. Aging 18 months including 6 in barrels. Egg white bonding.
Tasting notes
Balanced, round and structured, this wine is deliciously fruity and easy to drink. Will be able to accompany red meat, cold meats and various cheeses.
