About this winery
Francesco Condello calls himself the guardian of the tradition of the vine in the region of Predappio (Emilia-Romagna), a tradition that has lasted for more than 700 years. In a world that moves at full speed, the winegrowers of the Condello family live to the rhythm of nature. Product notes
The vineyards of Condé are located in Predappio, in the Forlì‑Cesena province of Emilia‑Romagna, Italy, at an altitude of approximately 150 to 300 meters above sea level. The soils are predominantly calcareous-clay, enriched with pliocenic Spungone tuff and sandstone, which bring minerality and elegance to the wine. The climate benefits from the influence of both the Apennine mountains and the Adriatic Sea, offering cool breezes and significant temperature variations between day and night—ideal conditions for preserving the natural acidity and freshness of Sangiovese.
Production notes
The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully selected in small crates to preserve their quality. After harvest, the fruit is kept at a low temperature and gently pressed to obtain a rosé must with minimal skin contact. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at low temperature in stainless steel tanks to retain freshness and aromatic purity. The wine is then aged on the lees for 4 to 5 months without undergoing malolactic fermentation, allowing it to maintain its vibrant acidity and expressive flavor profile.
Tasting notes
Ce rosé se distingue par sa robe pâle et limpide, aux reflets orangés et cuivrés. Le nez est frais et expressif, mêlant des notes fruitées et florales intenses : fruits rouges, abricot, pêche, mandarine, avec une touche subtile d’épices. En bouche, il offre une attaque vive et croquante, marquée par le fruit rouge juteux, une légère salinité et une fraîcheur persistante. Il est idéalement servi entre 9 et 14 °C, autour de 12 °C pour une expression optimale. À déguster de préférence jeune, jusqu’en 2025–2026 selon le millésime. Parfait à l’apéritif, il accompagne également les fruits de mer, les salades légères, un tartare de saumon fumé, les viandes blanches, les plats de légumes, ainsi que les fromages frais ou légèrement acidulés.
