About this winery
It was in 1985 in Mendavia that Barón de Ley settled in an old monastery, in the Navarrese region of DOCa Rioja. The cellar has positioned itself as a specialist in long-aging wines thanks to its Reservas and Grandes Reservas.

Product notes
Baron de Ley Siete Viñas Reserva reflects the richness of Rioja’s terroirs, sourced from seven plots with clay-limestone and alluvial soils, located on well-exposed hillsides. The continental climate with Atlantic influence brings structure, freshness, and aromatic complexity.
Production notes
Tasting notes
Intense ruby color with tile-like reflections, a sign of evolution. Complex nose combining ripe red fruits (cherry, plum), spices (vanilla, cinnamon), leather, blond tobacco, and licorice. Broad, velvety palate with smooth tannins and refreshing acidity. Woody and balsamic notes on the nose. Persistent, elegant finish. Serve between 16–18 °C after decanting. Pairs well with red meats, stews, aged cheeses, hearty pizzas, or vegetarian dishes.
