Product notes

Château Beau-Site benefits from a typical Saint-Estèphe terroir on Bordeaux’s left bank, with gravelly and deep clay soils. This soil ensures good drainage and optimal ripening of the grapes, especially the Cabernet Sauvignon, which dominates the blend. The temperate oceanic climate, with warm summers and cool nights, preserves the freshness and acidity of the grapes. These conditions, combined with careful winemaking, give the wine a balance of power and elegance, as well as excellent aging potential.

Production notes

Château Beau-Site Saint-Estèphe combines tradition and modernity to showcase the unique terroir of the appellation. The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully sorted before fermentation in tanks, with adjustments made each vintage to optimize the extraction of aromas, color, and tannins. Aging takes place in French oak barrels for 12 to 18 months, with a variable proportion of new wood to preserve finesse and fruitiness. The wine is regularly racked, blended according to the grape varieties, and bottled after a resting period that allows each vintage to fully express itself. The 2018 vintage, marked by a hot and dry summer, offers good concentration and balanced freshness, true to Beau-Site’s elegant style.

Tasting notes

Château Beau-Site Saint-Estèphe 2018 shows a violet-red color with purple highlights, reflecting its youth and richness. Its complex nose combines ripe black fruits, spices, and woody notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied and structured, with silky tannins and a long finish featuring licorice and cocoa flavors. Best enjoyed between 16 and 18 °C, it has excellent aging potential, ideally between 2026 and 2039. It pairs perfectly with grilled or sauced red meats, game birds, aged cheeses like Comté or Roquefort, and slow-cooked Mediterranean dishes.
