About this winery
The vineyard, owned by Adrien Tramier in the Médoc in Bordeaux, has applied the principles of sustainable cultivation for several years now. These principles help to minimize the impacts of phytosanitary protection on humans by reducing them to the strict minimum and favoring natural means. A vinification without artifice makes it possible to continue the principles of the reasoned culture until in the cellar.

Product notes
Château Lafitte-Tramier, located in the Médoc and classified as Cru Bourgeois, is planted on a gravelly soil resting on an argillo-calcareous subsoil. The vineyard is mainly composed of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, sometimes accompanied by Petit Verdot or Cabernet Franc. It benefits from a temperate oceanic climate with maritime influence and is cultivated with rigorous pruning, yield control, and often manual harvesting. The average age of the vines is between 20 and 30 years.
Production notes
The harvest at Château Lafitte-Tramier is carried out manually to ensure a rigorous selection of the grape clusters. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks with temperature control. Aging is done mainly in oak barrels, some of which are new, for a duration adapted to each vintage. For the 2009 vintage, the harvest at Château Lafitte-Tramier was carried out manually with a careful selection of the grape clusters. Vinification took place in stainless steel tanks with precise temperature control. Aging was done in oak barrels, about 30% of which were new, for 12 to 14 months.
Tasting notes
The Château Lafitte-Tramier displays a deep red color with purple highlights. The nose reveals intense aromas of ripe black fruits such as blackcurrant and blackberry, accompanied by notes of leather, licorice, and subtle spices from oak aging. On the palate, the wine is structured and balanced, with silky tannins, good freshness, and a long finish, where flavors of black fruits blend with woody and spicy notes. It pairs perfectly with grilled or braised red meats, game, aged cheeses, or rich dishes like beef bourguignon. The ideal serving temperature is between 16 and 18°C, with slight aeration beforehand to fully express its aromas.
