Product notes

The E. Guigal Côtes-du-Rhône Rouge 2021 is an iconic cuvée from the Southern Rhône, designed as an entry point to the region’s great red wines. Made from a classic blend of Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre, it perfectly reflects the typical characteristics of the terroir while offering a generous, expressive, and approachable wine. It is both deep and elegant, ideal for any occasion.

Production notes

The grapes come from several plots located in the highest-quality areas of the appellation. Each grape variety is vinified separately in stainless steel or concrete tanks, with an extended maceration to extract color, aromas, and structure. Aging: Mainly in tanks, without new oak, to preserve the purity of the fruit. The aging process refines the tannins while developing complexity and harmony.

Tasting notes

This wine shows a deep, bright red color, revealing good concentration. On the nose, it offers an explosion of ripe black fruits such as plum, blackberry, and blackcurrant, accompanied by notes of licorice, sweet spices, and blond tobacco, adding depth and elegance. On the palate, it is full-bodied, round, and structured, with silky, well-integrated tannins that provide a nice length. The harmonious balance between freshness, intense fruit, and spices gives the wine a persistent finish with subtle smoky and peppery notes, highlighting its intensity and elegance.
