Product notes

The vines, planted exclusively with Syrah, are spread across several key villages within the Crozes-Hermitage appellation, including Gervans, Mercurol, Larnage, and Crozes-Hermitage itself. With an average age of around 35 years, the vines have reached a level of vegetative maturity. The terroir is marked by a diversity of soils: clay-limestone, sandy-gravelly, and alluvial formations typical of the Rhône Valley. These well-drained soils, combined with varied exposures, provide an ideal environment for the balanced and authentic expression of the grape variety.

Production notes

Traditional harvest, at optimal maturity. - Traditional vinification. Temperature control during alcoholic fermentation. Fermentation time is approximately three weeks. - Aging for around 24 months in oak barrels.

Tasting notes

Very dark and deep color. Small red fruits such as cherry and strawberry, with delicate woody aromas. A tannic and powerful wine. Aromas of blackcurrant buds and vanilla. Remarkably fresh, with very present but well-integrated tannins thanks to extended aging in oak. Pairs perfectly with red meats, especially game, and cheeses. Serving temperature: 16 to 18 °C.
