About this winery
The history of Henriques & Henriques dates back to 1850 when the company was founded by João Gonçalves Henriques, a descendant of a family that settled in Câmara de Lobos many years ago. After his death in 1912, his sons João Joaquim and Francisco Eduardo Henriques made a partnership where the name "Henriques & Henriques" comes from. Production notes
Harvest between mid-August and the end of September, depending on altitude and weather conditions. Breeding according to tradition. Heating is a major factor in aging, giving Madeira wine its unique taste and characteristics, as well as the unmatched longevity for which it is famous.
Tasting notes
Wine exhibiting an amber yellow color of good intensity. Quite powerful nose with aromas of caramel, cooked fruit (fig, date, plum) and green nuts. It has tangy notes and nutty flavors on the palate. Served cold, it is a present aperitif, especially accompanied by chicken appetizers and soups. Used in the kitchen, he happily perfumes the sabayon. It will enhance cooked dishes, especially those of chicken and veal.
