About this winery
In 1970, Aimé Guibert ventured into the hinterland of the Hérault region in search of a unique terroir and fell under the spell of an old farmhouse and its ancestral mill. Owned by the Daumas family, the estate is nestled in a magnificent valley crossed by the Gassac River. This historic site, notably marked by the Moulin de Gassac — a former water mill and a witness to the region’s agricultural past — became the birthplace of Mas de Daumas Gassac. Product notes
Clay-limestone plateau bordering the Thau lagoon.
Production notes
Machine harvested during the second half of August. Skin maceration for a few hours in the cold in order to preserve the aromas. First presses of the grape varieties. Aging 3-4 months in stainless steel vats.
Tasting notes
Salmon pink color. Pleasant nose with aromas of red fruits such as strawberries. Ample and round palate carried by a beautiful liveliness. Slightly fruity finish, perfectly balanced. Eat as an aperitif or with cold meats, goat cheese, tomato salads or grilled fish.
