Product notes

The vines of Héritage d’Aqueria Blanc, approximately 35 years old, thrive on a clay sandy terroir enriched with limestone scree located to the east of the Château and dotted with rolled pebbles. This unique combination allows for a slow and steady ripening of the grapes imparting freshness and elegance to the wine hallmarks of the Mediterranean climate of Lirac.

Production notes

The average yield of the vines is around 40 hectoliters per hectare, ensuring optimal grape concentration. Harvesting is done manually in several passes to pick the grapes at their ideal maturity. After harvesting, the grapes are destemmed and gently pressed in pneumatic presses through long extraction cycles to preserve the finesse of the juice. Fermentation then takes place over 15 days in concrete and stainless steel tanks under strict temperature control maintained at 16°C. Finally, the wine is aged for six months in these same tanks, allowing it to retain all its freshness and aromatic expression before bottling.

Tasting notes

The Lirac Héritage d’Aqueria Blanc displays a pale yellow color with bright green highlights. On the nose, it reveals a fine and complex bouquet with fruity aromas of peach, accompanied by floral notes of acacia and honeysuckle, along with subtle exotic hints. On the palate, the attack is delicate and smooth, unfolding a balanced aromatic profile of floral and fruity notes. A pleasant minerality supports the whole, while the finish is remarkably fresh. This wine is best served between 10 and 12°C, allowing it to express its full freshness and finesse. It pairs perfectly with dishes such as Caesar salad, scallop carpaccio, chicken with morels, goat cheese, or monkfish Armoricaine-style.
