Product notes
Made from vines located at 1,100 meters altitude in the Tunuyán region, Uco Valley, this 100% Malbec benefits from a cool climate, well-drained alluvial soils, and sustainable farming practices. The wine is fermented with native yeasts in concrete and oak tanks, followed by a subtle 8-month aging that highlights the purity of the fruit rather than the influence of the wood.
Production notes
The grapes are hand-harvested at optimal ripeness. Fermentation is spontaneous, without the addition of commercial yeasts, in concrete and wooden tanks, allowing a true expression of the terroir. The 8-month aging is intentionally short to preserve the wine's natural energy. No fining is performed, and filtration is minimal. This approach promotes a sincere, juicy, and elegant wine with a balanced profile of dark fruit, spices, and floral freshness.
Tasting notes
Visually, this wine displays an intense and bright deep ruby color, reflecting its youth and concentration. The nose immediately captivates with its complexity, combining aromas of ripe plum, black cherry, violet, chocolate, and tobacco, enhanced by gentle spices like black pepper. On the palate, the attack is soft and velvety, supported by firm yet ripe tannins that structure the wine without harshness. It has a rich texture, while the long and juicy finish elegantly extends the fruity and spicy notes. The balance between the fruit’s richness, the freshness brought by altitude, and subtle woody nuances characterizes a dry red wine that is structured, fruity, and spicy, both approachable and refined. Best enjoyed between 15 °C and 17 °C, this wine can be appreciated now or cellared for 3 to 5 years to develop further complexity.
