Product notes

Far from being a micro-cuvée, N ° 1 represents elegance according to Luc Schweitzer, owner,: perfectly well exposed terroirs and the richness of a very fine woodiness.

Production notes

Regular soil maintenance, manual leaf stripping for optimal aeration of the plots, thinning if necessary. Harvests with high phenolic maturity and grape selection. Plot selection. Long maceration in thermoregulated vats. Extraction by punching down. Long-term aging, partly in barrels. Frequent quality checks. Little handling of the wine before bottling.

Tasting notes

Beautiful deep garnet color with intense reflections. Its expressive and complex nose, composed of black (blackcurrant, blueberry, blackberry) and red fruits (strawberry, redcurrant), is enhanced by wonderful toasted and vanilla notes. Its palate is rich, structured, fleshy and full. Perfect with roasted red meats or in sauce and characterful cheeses. Serve at 18 ° C.
