About this winery
The origin of the estate dates back to 1638. At the time, Léoville was the largest Médoc property, divided over time and generations. Léoville Poyferré will initiate the legend of this great wine in 1840 and will be consecrated fifteen years later Second Grand Cru Classé. Didier Cuvelier will preside over the destinies of this jewel in 1979.

Product notes
Soil: Garonne gravel and aeolian sands.
Production notes
The bunches are picked by hand in crates and sorted in the vineyard to ensure the quality of the harvest. Vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. Egg white bonding. Filtration. Aging 18 months in barrels renewed each year at 30%.
Tasting notes
The palate is full, with good volume and an expression of clean and fresh fruit. A charming and well-constructed Saint-Julien that stretches with style over a melted tannic base. Perfect match with red meats, duck breast, Epoisse type cheeses, Maroilles. Serve at 18 ° C.
