Product notes
Fresh early January rains prepared vines for what was to be a mild & then dry Riverina vintage. The milder temperatures allowed for wonderful expression of fruit aromas and flavours and allowed the retention of natural acid in most varieties.
Production notes
Fruit was selected by the winemaker and harvested when the balance of flavour, tannins and sugars complimented each other. - Cold soaked and fermented over 7-8 days. Cool temperatures of 22.0-25.0°C maintained to retain vibrant fruit.
Tasting notes
Deep burgundy with purple hues. Fragrant blueberries, red cherries and spice combined with well integrated chocolate oak. This delicious, rich number shows flavours of cranberry, juicy plum and allspice, all brought together with the framing tannins. Generous and balanced. - Pair with lamb steak on the bbq, rich venison pie or Roast beef with yorkshire pudding.
