Product notes
Terroir: Tuff, clay and galestro. The fruits come from two separate areas. Poggio al Sole, with southern exposure, 150 meters above sea level, and Pian Bossolino, south-eastern exposure, 350 meters above sea level. These two vineyards have a total area of seven hectares.
Production notes
Manual harvest from mid-September to mid-October depending on the lots. Fermentation using a selection of yeasts, in oak casks, for 17 days. Maceration with pumping and pumping over. Aging for 24 months in French oak barrels of 500l at 30% new, then 6 months in stainless steel vats before bottling.
Tasting notes
Deep ruby red color. The nose presents notes of red fruits, spices and tobacco. The palate is velvety, round and complex, with well-defined tannins and a tangy flavor. Long finish. Pairs with red meats, stews and game. Serve at 17 ° C.
