Villa Castorani is located in Alanno, in the rolling hills of Pescara at 350 meters above sea level, at the heart of the CASAURIA DOCG. Nestled between the Adriatic Sea and the Majella mountains, the estate benefits from an ideal microclimate with strong diurnal temperature shifts, optimal sun exposure, and cooling night breezes—perfect for high-quality grape ripening. The vineyard covers around 100 hectares and is cultivated using certified organic methods, without synthetic pesticides or chemical fertilizers. The vines average over 30 years of age and are mostly planted with Montepulciano for reds, and native white varieties such as Trebbiano, Pecorino, Cococciola, Passerina, and Malvasia. Dating back to 1793, the estate has a rich history, once owned by notable figures like Raffaele Castorani and Antonio Casulli. In 1999, it was revitalized by the Trulli and Cavuto families, who continue to manage the estate with a focus on tradition, sustainability, and full control from vine to bottle.
