Product notes

This wine comes from the Claim 431 vineyard, in the Bendigo sub-region, in Central Otago. The draining loamy soils of the vineyard on schist gravel make it an exceptional plot for Pinot Noir.

Production notes

The grapes were gently harvested, allowing whole berries to remain intact. After a week of cold soaking, each plot is fermented with a combination of wild and cultured yeasts. The plots are pressed separately. After completing the malolactic fermentation, the plots are mixed. Some plots are aged in French oak barrels, while the rest are aged in stainless steel vats to maintain the fruity character.

Tasting notes

Ruby red color. The aromas of bold cherry and fresh red fruit are supported by savory notes of spicy oak. Dark fruit flavors melt into a sweet palate, offering a long finish with fine tannins and juicy acidity.
