Production notes

Grapes were sourced from vineyards within the highly regarded Hawke’s Bay winegrowing district. The vigor moderating free-draining gravel is ideal for growing quality Viognier. The grapes were harvested at optimum ripeness, pressed off and settled. The juice was then transported to the Saint Clair winery in Marlborough where it was fermented in seasoned oak or stainless steel tanks with selected yeast.

Tasting notes

Colour: Pale straw. Aroma: Fragrant nectarine and apricot laced with impressions of spice. Palate: Rich and textural with flavours of apricot kernel and ripe green apple with savoury characters. The palate is silky and round with a subtle spice note on the finish. A perfect match for baked creamy pumpkin and chicken risotto.
