About this winery
Jean Michel Chatelier, current manager, was born and raised on the estates. From an early age, he learned the many aspects of the winegrower's profession. In 1984, he inherited Château Cantelaudette. With his wife, he built a cellar and took over the vines, neglected until then. Since then, the wines have won multiple medals and a reputation that no longer needs to be established.

Product notes
Sandy clay loam soils.
Production notes
Harvest by machine at the optimum date of intervention. No contact with the stalk and leaves during transport. Sorting on a vibrating table. Daily pumping over during fermentation, alternating between traditional pumping over and nitrogen, the latter allows the marc cap to be worked well. Part of the aging is in barrels and the other part in vats, blending according to tastings.
Tasting notes
Slightly evolved cherry red color, very complex nose, iris powder, dried banana, violet, toasted hint, very ripe strawberry, lots of freshness on the attack. Sweet tannins, fruit jam flavor accompanied by a hint of oak. Ideal as an aperitif or with cold cuts, red meats, grilled meats, game, cheeses or chocolate desserts with red fruits.
